Bey Çimento to Build Two New Cement Plants in Tekirdağ and İzmir with Chinese Partner

Bey Çimento Group, headquartered in Bandırma and chaired by our group CEO Soner Özbey, is set to expand its footprint in Turkey’s cement sector by establishing two new clinker-and-cement grinding plants in Tekirdağ and İzmir—in collaboration with China’s largest cement manufacturer.

According to Karabük Net Haber, these twin facilities will each have an annual capacity of 800,000 tons, adding 1.6 million tons to Bey Çimento’s existing output (currently over 1.15 million tons from Bandırma, Karabük, and Yalova). Once operational, the company’s total annual capacity will approach 3 million tons, positioning it among Turkey’s leading cement producers.

The two new plants are budgeted at approximately USD 103 million and are scheduled to commence cement production in the second quarter of 2025.

Both factories will be built using advanced “Green Cement” technologies that comply with the European Green Deal, ensuring zero-carbon emissions. As global regulations increasingly phase out high-pollution facilities, these next-generation plants will operate with no carbon footprint, aligning with international sustainability commitments.

Chairman Özbey emphasized that in addition to reinforcing Bey Çimento’s domestic market strength, the expansion will support a major push into international export markets, contributing significantly to Turkey’s economy and sustainability goals.
