Bandırmaspor Signs Naming Rights Sponsorship Deal with Bey Çimento

Bandırmaspor, competing in the TFF 1. Lig (Spor Toto First League), has entered into a naming-rights sponsorship agreement with Bey Çimento for the 2022–2023 season.

The signing ceremony took place at a local hotel and was attended by Bandırmaspor Club President, Onur Göçmez, Bey Çimento Chairman, Soner Özbey, and other executives.

In his remarks, Göçmez expressed his hope that the partnership would be mutually beneficial. He then addressed the recent transfer speculation surrounding Philippe Keny and Beşiktaş. Although Bandırmaspor had accepted Beşiktaş’s offer, no formal paperwork was ever initiated. Göçmez noted that the club had informed Beşiktaş it would revise its squad plan if no response was received by July 29. When no response came, they learned via social media that the move was “on hold.”

“All we expected was a courtesy phone call to say, ‘We apologize,’ ” he said.

Göçmez added that the matter was now closed. “We wish Beşiktaş every success,” he stated. “But our focus remains on transforming Bandırmaspor—a club deeply rooted in its city and committed to nurturing young talent—into a model organization that embodies success and serves as an example to children.” He emphasized that such situations like this would not harm either club’s reputation.

After the speeches, both parties signed the sponsorship contract. In the upcoming season, the club will compete under the name “Bey Çimento Bandırmaspor.”
